Application of knowledge and understanding(weight 20%): You have provided the full discussion based on your initial posts from the 2 discussions in this module. Both were seen to generate some very lively discussion, which is great to see. However, you don’t have to include the verbatim response from your fellow students.
The alternative is to place some comments in your e-portfolio around the feedback you received from the initial post and how that fed into your summary post. So, the only word-for-word submission would be your initial and summary posts and then a synopsis of the feedback/responses you received.
You should also post the initial discussion question on your discussion pages. Well done for adding the feedback from your tutor here. You provided your assessments for this module, along with the feedback from your tutor – well done.
Please take note of the areas for improvement already provided, which you have done for the second submission. Apart from your summative assessments, there were various activities you carried out in various weeks, such as the seminar preparation activities. Your e-portfolio should include your responses to these activities as well, particularly if you received feedback from your tutor or peers.
You should clearly map any artefact in your e-portfolio to the learning outcome it covers. Some description of this mapping exercise is also required. This helps you to ensure that the module is delivering on its objectives, in your own words.
Collaboration/ independent working (weight 20%): In terms of collaboration, highlighting how the feedback you received “inspired” your summary post would be best. This helps to showcase your interaction with your fellow students. Your summary posts do show that you have reviewed the initial posts of other students but not the feedback you received to your own posts.
The level of expertise shown in your submissions shows you have a very good ability to take ownership of your work Criticality (weight 40%): You have provided a description of your work but there is also a need to reflect on what you have learnt and how this affect you work and learning going forward.
Has your prior experience/knowledge been challenged? Can you evidence any personal or professional development? What are your thoughts on the artefacts you have presented? Were they particularly easy to do or did you have to overcome some challenges?
Please see the Module Resources page – Creating your e-portfolio – for information on the contents (chapter 6). It includes guidance on writing your reflection as well as a skills matrix and action plan for you to update as you progress on the course.
Structure and Presentation (as detailed in the assessment guidance) (weight 10%) Your structure is good – easy to follow. Please keep it up, with a continued focus on readability as you meet the requirements previously discussed.
To make it more coherent, please have a separate section for each module. For example, seminars for the Launch module are sitting outside that module area. This will become confusing as your work builds up.
Academic integrity(weight 10%) There are very few errors in your documents. References and citations are in the correct format and resources cited in the text.
Overall comments Positives: • You have met some key requirements for your e-portfolio. You are clearly aware of the learning outcomes of the module and seek to ensure you meet them, using the required artefacts from the module and reviewing feedback.
Points for development: • Please review my comments in each section which will help to enhance your work. Particular attention should be paid to the criticality aspect, using the guidance provided in the department pages.
